Egglife has launched Chocolate Egg White Wraps exclusively at Target. The new wraps pack 11 grams of protein, zero sugar and 60 calories per serving, sweetened with monk fruit and made with real cocoa on the brand’s flour-free egg white platform.

The chocolate variety is Egglife’s second move into sweet territory, following its Sweet Cinnamon wraps, and ships as a six-pack of 7-inch wraps merchandised in the refrigerated set near the eggs.

Why it matters

Retailer exclusives are a trade, and both sides know the terms. The brand gives up breadth of distribution; in return it gets category-captain attention, promotional support and a launch window without a direct shelf comparison.

For a brand that built its business on a functional claim (high protein, low carb), the sweet line is a test of how far the platform stretches. A chocolate wrap has to carry into occasions driven by indulgence rather than macros, and the zero-sugar, 60-calorie spec is the brand betting it can serve both at once. The first sweet SKU earning awards and demand is precisely why a second one exists.

What to watch

Whether the chocolate line broadens distribution after the exclusive window closes. Exclusives that perform typically roll out to additional retailers within a year; ones that do not quietly disappear at the next reset. Worth watching too is whether Egglife keeps extending toward dessert, where the egg-white platform has the least natural equity and the most room to surprise.
